I always love coming by your blog, and thank you for your sweet comment!
ReplyDeleteI think in the crafting world as long as you are crediting the owner using their photos with a link is greatly appreciated. I think it's only copywrite infringement if you are claiming it for your own, selling it, or not giving credit. Now I'm sure your hubby knows more about the actual laws of it than I do, but as far as crafter law I'm a pro LOL.
ReplyDeletethat sounds so neat, i would love to be a featured blogger
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard anything about it, I know that no one has complained about it when I do it, rather they are happy. I'm fine with you using my picture, that's why I put my URL on it, so people can use it. Thanks for featuring me once again! You should stop by on Monday and participate in my link party :)

Your husband is right if someone decided to be nasty. But since you are crediting them it would not go far. Read their bio, the bloggers who do not want you to take photos etc will usually post it, front and center for you to see, or they will ask you to ask them first. The real issue comes up when and if someone else decides to take one of these photos from your site to use. Again, people who are really sensitive about their images usually protect them with a flash program, so that you cannot even remove them from the site in the first place. I've actually seen my photos on sites that I did not even know about and they found them from somewhere other than me, it's a slippery slope. I don't know if that helps. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the info. on the posting the pics. I love the pics and they are what caught my eye in the first place. I will check to see if anyone has posted on their site anything about their pics before bringing them over. I myself would love someone to feature me like this. Of course I will take the pics down immediately if someone has a problem... ~Lanie
