When I stand before God at the end of my life,
I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say,
"I used everything You gave me."

Monday Musings... Inspiration

I got my calligraphy markers out... Not my pens and ink (I just don't feel ready for that yet), but my markers. And I played, and I had fun! While messing around with the pens, I got to wondering what inspires people to create? Is it time with family, a breathtaking view or a song or story? Or do you find inspiration in the mundane everyday goings on in life?

I am inspired by my daughters, by looking around at others' creations, by color... especially by color.

How about you? What inspires you?

  1. hearing the stories people tell. their different paths in life. i'm not artistic with pens or pencils, but i think the story gets in your head!

  2. Inspiration is a lot of visualization for me. Then, I love to just play around and see where the project takes me...it's always evolving! BTW, so envious of anyone with calligraphy skills-wish it was a strength of mine.

  4. You inspire me. Thank you.
And PS: My 3-year-old liked the pretty little Dolly song and likes to imitate it.

  5. Pretty things inspire me. Clever things. Unusual things.

I like to flip through magazines and library books for inspiration. And nature!

    Calligraphy is so pretty. :)
