When I stand before God at the end of my life,
I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say,
"I used everything You gave me."

I won! Shout outs...

Occasionally, I will enter a giveaway or two on different blogs. One Saturday morning, I hung out just a tad too long, entering a few too many, but I did win! Here is what I've received...

From A Nut In A Nutshell, I won Bingo's Big Adventure!

This was a hard bound book signed by the author and my children already LOVE it!

I won this beautiful bookmark at Reflections In The Window.

You can buy one from All You Need Designs!

And my favorite, this gorgeous hand knit shawl was won at The Craft In Me.

But you can purchase one at the Laughing Chicken!

Speaking of giveaways, I like to enter them, but I don't want all the extra buttons and blog posts to clutter this blog. So, I started another blog specifically for entering the giveaways. If you are interested in seeing some of the ones I post, visit me at I Could Do This All Day.

Guest posting at Pure Joy and a giveaway!

Random Acts of Kindness

So? Have you been over to visit Jamie at Pure Joy for Random Acts of Kindness week? If not, then you should go there now!

Each day this week, Jamie is having guest posters and giveaways to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness. I'm over there today guest posting and giving away some magnets and notecards from my shop. My post is about how a friend has touched me in the past year with her RAK and some ideas I have for paying it forward.

Go visit and check out the previous days giveaways. Jamie started Sunday, so there are already 5 giveaways up and running!

In other news, I have lost my second camera in 1 year. This time to saltwater damage at our little island by the sea. If you have a tip for a very nice (but relatively inexpensive) point and shoot camera, I would really appreciate your input.

If I can figure out our giant Nikon today, I will update you on my latest project... cue drumroll... conquering the sewing machine! I have had a brand new machine in the box for about 4 months. Yesterday my friend Aamie (who you will get to know better in my post at Pure Joy) came over and we started me on a bandana beach quilt. It is a very fun and colorful quilt and I can't wait to share my progress with you!

Happy 4th of July! And a fun week at Pure Joy starts today!

First, happy July 4th! I want to take this time again to thank the military men and women and their families for their sacrifice so that we can enjoy the freedoms that we have today. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Second, I wanted to give you all a heads up. My friend Jamie at Pure Joy is having a week of random acts of kindness. Also known as RAK week.

Random Acts of Kindness

She has ten guest posts and 7 giveaways this week to celebrate RAK week. Head on over and pick up the button above and display it on your blog proudly. Jamie has some surprises up her sleeve. If you have the RAK week button on your blog, you may be the surprised recipient of a RAK! So head on over and get your button and join us in some random and kind fun!

A thank you, an apology, and a quick shout out...

Good morning!

Just wanted to say a quick thank you to those of you who participated in my trial of a linky party on Friday. There were some cute projects! If you missed it, you can see it here.

I also wanted apologize for the linky not working correctly. When you posted, your projects didn't show up, which could explain why no one linked back their project with my button. I haven't yet decided whether to do the party again this coming Friday or not. If I can get the Linky to work correctly, I might try again.

The Linky not working leads to this shout out... thank you to Allison at House of Hepworths to being the one who commented that the Linky was not working. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know. I wouldn't have otherwise and would have spent the day wondering why no one wanted to share their projects with me! :) If you haven't seen Allison's blog, you must take a few moments and check it out. She has many cute projects and tutorials. Thanks again Allison!

Happy Sunday!

Saturday Feature... A Vision To Remember and I Am Only 1 Woman

Please welcome my Saturday Featured Blogger/Etsy Shop owner Bobbie. Bobbie is the proud owner of a lovely Etsy Shop called A Vision to Remember and a beautiful blog called I Am Only 1 Woman. Her shop is filled with gorgeous fabric creations from baby quilts to car seat covers as well as kits and patterns for you to make your own. Her blog features all things crafty, with many tutorials and ideas to get you inspired.

Please tell us a little about yourself Bobbie:

I am the mom of 2 girls (4 and 11 months). I enjoy playing the piano, sewing, reading, cooking and being with my family.

I graduated a year ago with a bachelors degree in business management. All of my instructors thought I was crazy for getting a degree and not using it with a formal job. I enjoy being a stay at home mom and hopefully I will be able to continue doing so.

Please give us a little insight to what your blog and Etsy shop is about:

My blog is basically a snapshot into my craft self. I love sharing tutorials with my readers, introducing them to other bloggers, and updating on my etsy shop.

My etsy shop is full of rag quilts, car seat tents, and lots of patterns for rag quilts, rag quilts, belly band, and fabric flowers.

What made you start blogging/crafting?

I started a blog because all my friends told me I needed to. I love it. I have only told a few friends about this blog, but they are all starting to learn about it. I have always loved to make things, I think that it is in my blood. I just love to share what I do and knowing that others think its pretty cool too.

My mom was always making different things growing up. I remember her and her sisters getting together every couple of years (they live all across the US.) and make some sort of craft. My mom finally pursued her dream of being an interior designer. I think that is where I get my craftiness.

Who does your blog appeal to?

My blog appeals to women that love to create things. I like to make crafts that are frugal (I am a cheapskate) but cute at the same time.

What do you love about blogging?

I love how easy it is. I love the camaraderie that I have formed with my bloggy friends. That is what makes all of this worth it.

What do you hope to accomplish with your blog/shop in the future?

I don't have an end goal in mind. I have never thought that I would have more than a handful of readers, but I do.

As far as my shop, my goal is to lessen the financial strain that crafting can put on us. I am constantly surprised that people like what I do. It makes my day when I sell something and then I stress over it. I always wonder if it will ever be good enough.

Please list the links to 3 of your favorite posts on your blog.

Please share some of your favorite blogs with us.
